The Wellness Walk is a bridge walk for mental health. It is a family-friendly event to promote mental health awareness and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness. The Wellness Walk is a part of the national Mental Health Month.
The 2019 Wellness Walk is on Sunday 13 October 2019.
Registration to pick up your bib is from 8:00am. The 6km walk starts at 10:00am. The 2km accessible walk starts at 10:15am. There will be pre-walk activities beforehand and prizes, games, food and live music post-walk.
The Walk starts and finishes at Government House, Sydney.
There are two walks to choose from, a 6km Walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and 2km Walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens.

No, the Walk is along a flat, pedestrian walkway with spectacular views - some stairs during the walk.
The 2km accessible walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens is suitable for wheelchair users. There are no steps.

The Wellness Walk is a great way of showing support for those living with mental illness, their families and carers. It's also a great opportunity to find out more information from participating mental health services.
There's no time limit, this is a walk for pleasure! You walk at your own pace - it's not timed. It usually takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, but you can take as long as you need.
Anybody and everybody. Invite your family and friends and make a day of it.
The registration fee is not tax deductable; however donations over $2 are tax deductable.
Early Bird runs until Sunday 25 August 2019.
You can choose to purchase a pre-event kit which includes your bib, a 2019 Wellness Walk shirt, and other Wellness Walk goodies. Alternatively, you can collect your bib on the morning of the event at the registration tent.
Yes! Individual walkers are welcome to register.
Yes! A team can have as many members as you like. Start by registering yourself as the team captain and establish the team page. Then invite your team members to join by registering as individuals then selecting your team name. Don't forget to set up a fundraising page for your team to share.
No. Unfortunately no dogs are permitted, not even if they are on a leash.
Yes. There are public toilets at Circular Quay and onsite at Government House, Sydney.

Your donations will contribute to keeping mental health services and programs operating across NSW. The organisation receiving the funds from the 2019 Wellness Walk is One Door Mental Health. Your fundraising money will go to One Door Mental Health to help keep essential mental health services operating in the new land of the NDIS. They will use your funds to ensure that the services they provide get to the people who need them most. You will be provided with a bottle of water at the event, but we always encourage you to also bring your own bottle of water to avoid dehydration.

Absolutely. There will be fun activities, mental health information stalls and live music at the start and end of the walk.
No! The walk will go on, rain or shine! Just bring your wet-weather gear and a smile!
There will be a food van on the day. If you arrive early you can grab a coffee and some breakfast before the walk. There will also be a sausage sizzle after the walk.
No - there will be no bag drop. You'll need to keep your belongings with you at all times.
