Sunday 13 October 2019

The seventh annual Wellness Walk will be held on Sunday 13 October 2019 in the beautiful grounds of Government House, Sydney.

The event is comprised of two different distances; a 6km walk over the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge or 2km around the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Each day in Australia, 6 men and 2 women take their own lives.

6 Reasons 2 Walk.

The Wellness Walk is not only a great awareness raising exercise for Mental Health Month but also operates as a fundraiser to support essential mental health services across NSW.

After the walk, participants can enjoy a sausage sizzle, live music, games and activities at the Wellness Festival. This event brings the community together and, most importantly, plays an active role in the conversation about serious mental illness. It also encourages all members of the community to get active and support people on their journey towards wellness.

The Wellness Walk is hosted by One Door Mental Health, a not-for-profit mental health service provider for those living with mental illness, their families and carers.
