Who Benefits From The Funds Received?
The Wellness Walk raises money for several charities including primarily the Sunflower Foundation.
The foundation cares for people living with mental illness through compassionate services and much
needed support. It provides stable funding for essential programs and services to people living
with mental illness. It is also a source of indispensable information for families and carers.
The sunflower is a symbol of hope. The foundation’s mission is to bring
mental illness ‘out of the darkness, into the light’. It is committed to improving the
circumstances and welfare of those who live with serious mental illness, as well as to relatives,
carers and mental health care professionals.
The organisation's vision is a society in which people with mental illness are valued and
treated as equals.
One Door Mental Health is the body through which the
Sunflower Foundation delivers its services.
